My originals hang all over the world; from the private collections in Hollywood homes and offices in London to my local gallery and homes all over Britain. Now to reach as wide an audience as possible, to increase the value of the originals and allow everyone to enjoy my art I have decided to sell prints of my paintings. |
Layers of subtle glazes were used trying to create a flowing natural background to this magnificent variety of gum trees. The texture of the knots were equally important. Leaving the looseness of the larval tracks to the last. This work was created to support an upcoming exhibition by the Southern Printmakers Association entitled ‘Earthwritings’. |
The painting is exactly how things were. A friend “Tami” used to visit my tiny flat and we’d spend time chatting, getting drunk and painting. I sat down on the sofa to grab another can of beer and glanced at the large sliding mirrors that partitioned the small studio. I was captivated by all the reflections so grabbed a sketchbook and a pencil. The final oil painting image is as true to the “moment” as I can render with a bit of linseed oil and some pigments. |
A crime of passion, carried away by the moment Marie’s paintings are inspired by the human form in it’s environment and her images create a telling story. Her work is painterly and her use of drip painting and hand printing adds a unique dimension to her work |
Walking along the shoreline near to my home early one morning, I found a skeleton of a young seal lying on some rocks. When I got back home I painted this. by kafka |
Grey Eagle is from my imagination. Over 4 nights I applied layer on layer of pastels, on the original the closer you get the more he smiles. by Jo Hoden |
All my paintings are inspired by Spirits who stir the viewer to see what needs to be thrown away or torn down, whatever remains can provide us with an opportunity to recreate ourselves. There are many doors we walk through in our lives and these paintings remind us to close the door behind us, freeing ourselves to do more things, which may help us to understand our choices and vision? Grounding us without unbalancing our personalities – awakening Spiritual understanding, which will transmute our fears and help us to accept our paths, whatever they may be? I thank all my Spirit Guides for their help and guidance and for bringing all these wonderful images to life. Sophie |
Deb Gillett – painter, sculptor, lover of life. Deb Gillett’s vibrant paintings are her own expressionistic, neo-futurist take on elation of being, and offer an unfettered celebration of life. She is inspired and obsessed with joy, sensuality, motion and emotion. Favoured subjects include nudes, flight, and portraits. Deb is represented by galleries Australia wide, and her original works are collected worldwide. by Deb Gillett |
I write stories and songs, sometimes poetry (eventually started doing this again after having given it up at 14 to leave more time for masturbation!) i paid for an aptitude for bits of the arts with a general and wide ranging ineptitude when it comes to normal human tasks. |
Since childhood I have had a love for the fantastic and the imaginary – I enjoy depicting the real and the unreal together, things turning into other things, the unusual engaged with the everyday. However macabre some of my creatures may seem, they still have a whimsical quality – it’s important to me that people can see the humour in my work. by Firedrake |

I have always been fascinated by the complexities of both The Alice in Wonderland story and the man behind it. Lewis Carroll (Charles Dodgson) was one mad hatter! The story he penned is truly timeless and is a good read as both a child and adult alike. Although, like Dodgson, I don’t think I will ever fully move on from Alice, this work will be one of the last in my Alice series. This particular work is oil paint on paper. It is heavy influenced by early Japanese Manga cartoons watched as a child. This Alice is more relaxed about the absurdities of the situation she has unwittingly found herself in than the rabbit who lives in this world. Sometimes I feel like the white rabbit, although my fob watch could be a mobile phone ringing or a work deadline. Thankfully my “chilled out” children help bring me back and see the world for what it is. by Kimbaross |

When viewing my portfolio, one can see that I enjoy a wide range of painting from expressive to realistic pieces. Recently I began working with Master Painter Anthony Waichulis. This is the first work in a series of charcoal drawings. My focus for this piece was to create a realistic illusion of form using a wide variety of values and contrasts. |
I seldom experience a truer artistic passion than the moment I am staring at an empty canvas and a new tube of paint. At that moment the possibilities are endless. |
The title and image say it all for me, as far as how I feel about the earth and our role in taking care of it! I try to portray my figures with thoughfulness and maybe, to slightly confront the viewer and make them question themselves and mirror what they might be feeling about the work itself. This woman, Mother Earth, with her direct stare is asking you to do something in a hopefully kind way to help that which you depend upon for life. |
Instant Gratification is a painting that came out of the blue, you know, the ones that just happen….it connects to my interest into underground spaces, the realness of the raw surface, the instant spontaneous marks of graffiti and street art. I continue to document and seize my inspiration from these spaces, in cities worldwide, including Melbourne, Paris and Spain. by Jenny Davis |
“I read a sad story. Then I closed the book. I can still hear the world crying….” Midori was born in Japan and moved to Australia in 1989. She exhibits her works in Sydney and Melbourne. by Midori Furze |
The Gypsy Skirt’ is an oil painting on stretched canvas. Portraits and nudes are my passion, and I was particularly inspired by the vibrant colours of my model’s costume, popping out from the red. |
This piece is symbolic of lifes journey. The mystery of the pyramids interior, and our voyage through and beyond it, rendering us more wise. By Gordart |
